Jeff Selman, PsyD, BCBA-D
Founder
Dr. Selman is a licensed psychologist in Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level (BCBA-D), a certified School Psychologist, and a PSYPACT-authorized provider with advanced training in telepsychology.
Dr. Selman works with high-performing professionals, as well as students and early-career individuals in demanding academic or professional paths, and others operating in performance-driven environments. His practice focuses on helping clients manage sustained pressure, reduce anxiety, and navigate the ongoing mental demands that accompany high levels of responsibility.
Many of the individuals he works with are functioning well outwardly, but experience persistent stress, overthinking, or difficulty stepping out of a constant performance mindset.
His approach is grounded in behavioral and cognitive-behavioral principles, with an emphasis on clarity, decision-making, and effective action under pressure. The work is practical and focused, aimed at producing meaningful and sustainable change in both professional and personal domains.
Dr. Selman also works with individuals who are intellectually gifted or neurodivergent, tailoring the work to align with each client’s cognitive and emotional profile.

Background
Dr. Selman received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and his Doctor of Psychology in School Psychology from Rutgers University. He also completed specialized graduate training in behavioral interventions in autism at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, where he fulfilled the coursework required for board certification as a behavior analyst.
He lives in Cumberland, Maine with his family.
