Early-Career & High-Achieving Individuals
Psychotherapy for individuals navigating demanding academic and early-career paths.

This work is also available to individuals navigating demanding academic or early-career paths where expectations are consistently high and performance is closely tied to future opportunities.
Many individuals in this stage are functioning well but experience increasing pressure, persistent overthinking, or difficulty stepping away from a constant focus on performance.
Focus of the Work
The focus remains the same: developing a clearer understanding of patterns in thinking and behavior, and identifying areas where adjustments can support more effective functioning.
This often includes:
-
managing sustained pressure
-
reducing unnecessary mental strain
-
improving clarity and decision-making
-
developing more flexible responses under stress
Approach
The focus is on building clarity early—developing effective patterns in thinking and behavior before they become more entrenched.
The work follows the same collaborative, evidence-based approach described throughout this site, grounded in cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-based therapies.
When helpful, targeted assessment and data-informed strategies are used to better understand patterns and guide the direction of treatment.
Structure
Work begins with a structured intake process focused on understanding current concerns, patterns, and goals.
Following the second appointment, a brief written summary is provided outlining key themes and an initial direction for the work.
Ongoing sessions are collaborative, focused, and responsive to the demands of academic and early-career environments.
